The Yew Tree Inn has succeeding where others in Staffordshire have failed. The pub won its way into the millennium edition of the Good Pub Guide with the title ‘collectors pub of the year’.
This 300+ year old pub is sill going partly thanks to the eccentric landlords passion for collecting antiques. A self confessed hoarder who still has all his childhood Dinky toys, the landlord has turned the pub into a living museum full of Victoriana.
Music at the yew tree is not from a jukebox, but from working symphonions which customers can enjoy for 2p. The till is pre-decimal and drinkers perch on old settles and soggily sprung sofas. The pub has genuine character, the landlord is friendly and the beer is well kept.
If you have any photos of the pub which you would like to supply, we would welcome them. And please feel free to leave a review if you have been to the pub.
