The Bulls Head Hotel is located in the historic town of Chislehurst, close to attractions such as Brands Hatch Race Circuit which is fifteen minutes drive away, the Chislehurst Caves, a nature reserve and numerous golf clubs. London is only a half an hour commute by train. The hotel dates back to at least 1753, when it was originally a Coaching Inn. The then small inn was bought by Young’s in 1931 and is today a spacious, pleasant hotel. Henry Cooper, the boxer, stayed here while training for several of his championship fights. In 1969 the Brewery Chairman, John Young presented him with a silver horseshoe as a good luck charm. Today the hotel offers several comfortable, spacious en-suite bedrooms. The clientele tend to be in the 20 to 25+ age range. The two bars have each retained a traditional charm with coal and wood burning fires in each of the bars. The busy restaurant has a modern menu offering such delights as lamb cutlets with stilton, crushed potatoes and sage sauce. If it’s just a drink, a good meal or a ‘stop over’ you are looking for, the Bulls Head Hotel has it all.
