The White Hart Hotelis a former Coaching Inn dating back to the 16th century and is steeped in history. It is reputed that during the rebellion of 1745, it served as the headquarters for supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie and their leader, Sir William Bagott. He was arrested at the White Hart, having enjoyed an excellent dinner. On the threshold of the Derbyshire Dales, the White Hart Hotel has much to offer. The restaurant also is available for private functions. We attract a large variety of people, many coming initially for our food offer. The test of our quality is that many return again and again. You can choose to dine throughout the pub, in the restaurant or bar area. Just 8 miles from Alton Towers and 5 minutes from Uttoxeter race course, we are surrounded by fishing, riding and other rural events, including one of the oldest and largest open air markets in England. We have a wide range of home cooked food, wines and real ales. Our hotel has comfortable en-suite rooms with full facilities. Our oak panelled surroundings create a very elegant homely feel. All in a great family atmosphere.
