The Bull Hotel, situated in the centre of Llangefni, a region of outstanding natural beauty, is an ideal base to explore the beautiful North Wales area. The views over the Menai Straits and the panoramic mountains of Snowdonia are attractions not to be missed. Having easy access to the A55, the connecting road for Holyhead and the A55 to Chester makes this is a convenient stop-over for ferry travellers to and from Ireland. Previously known as the Pen y Bont public house, the pub took on it’s present name in 1817 when Sir Richard Bulkley rebuilt and renamed it as the family coat of arms had three bulls’ heads on it. The place is steeped in history. We still have the courtyard rooms to the rear of the hotel which were former servant lodgings, tackle rooms and the Coach House which is now a conference room. Today, being in the centre of the town, our cosy bar is in an ideal position for locals and visitors to congregate. Boasting a range of traditional Brains cask ales, fine wines, soft drinks and spirits you can enjoy a relaxing drink and meal from the bar in front of our open coal fires. We have the perfect blend of comfort and fantastic food with our friendly staff on hand in our traditional restaurant. Whether you decide to stay in one of our courtyard bedrooms or in the main hotel, all rooms provide individuality. Visit soon, you’re sure to enjoy your stay.
