Originally the main hall for the church across the road, the Church House was later intended to be a theatre. Plans for that were shelved and it stood empty for a number of years until about 1997 when it was fully renovated and turned into a pub / brassiere. The building has a 45 foot high fully curved roof, which gives it an ecclesiastical feel. The famous Banbury Cross is only 80 yards down the road from us. Through the day our lunchtime snack menu includes baguettes, jacket potatoes and traditional pub snacks. We have an exciting high quality evening menu which often attracts clientele such as business people, doctors and solicitors. This A La Carte menu has a choice of twenty main courses from salads to steaks, with four vegetarian options along with a range of fish dishes. Usually we can cater for up to 30 people, but the pub can be rented out for a larger event. Please feel free to come and chat about your requirements. Here at the Church House we look forward to your visit and will guarantee a warm welcome anytime.
