The Wheatsheaf is easy to find off Junction 7 of the M3 about 41?2 miles from Basingstoke, close to the crematorium. The Wheatsheaf was built in the late 19th Century and is reputed to be a coaching stop for Jane Austin! It is a Chef & Brewer dining venue with a fantastic atmosphere and really friendly clientele and staff. Being almost entirely non smoking this is an ideal spot to bring the family to enjoy a memorable, tasty meal of freshly prepared food. Inside the restaurant there are private nooks and crannies, candlelit tables and three open fires which are lit in the winter. During the summer months dining can be al fresco on the patio where there are ten tables. Come and try us out next time you are in the area and maybe prolong your visit by staying at the Premier Inn. Then we may tempt you to breakfast and coffee to start the day! If you are looking for a venue for a special occasion we have a Function Room which caters for up to 80 people, buffet style. Yet another good reason to call in soon!
