The White Hart is a 17th Century traditional pub, retaining oak beams, brick fireplaces and many reminders of days gone by. We offer a very warm welcome, great pub dining and award winning ales, wines and soft drinks. Charmingly situated right in the heart of the village, opposite the village green, the White Hart is conveniently located just off the A33, approximately 8 miles from Basingstoke and 16 miles from Reading. Come in, sit back, relax and enjoy. If you feeling hungry, this is an ideal spot for a light bite or something more substantial. The Coachman’s corner area is a real favourite – an area to unwind and enjoy a drink and conversation with friends by the open log fire. The mantle above supports an antique letter box structure (one of only four remaining in the country today), dating back to the 1700’s. This is still used today, for the distribution of cards at Christmas time. The White Hart is a delightful place for tourists and walkers to dry off in the winter as there are many great walks in the area. A relatively recent addition is our restaurant, which has been finished to a style in-keeping with the original building. Full waitress service is a feature, as is the freshly prepared food, cooked to order. Come and sample our relaxed and warm atmosphere – we look forward to meeting you.
