The Mitre dates back to 1850 and is a Grade II listed building which has been used in two Woody Allen films. Set in the lovely area of Lancaster Gate we are just round the corner from Hyde Park, attracting many tourists. They particularly appreciate the traditional feel created by the many original features including the wood work, glass and mosaic flooring. The pub is traditionally decorated in keeping with Victorian times and there are two lovely fire places which we light in winter. It is large inside with plenty of seating, a small area known as ‘the snug’ as well as the main bar area. There are two smaller areas with comfy seating, sofas and armchairs. If it is complete comfort while you are dining or relaxing over a pint then look no further than the Mitre. Our food is all British produce and we offer a homemade Sunday roast which is very popular.
