The Running Horse is close to the Wye Forest & Safari Park on the edge of the picturesque village of Bewdley, by the river. This Inn is a listed building with an extension. History has it that when the Welsh were chasing the English away they would chase them down Long Bank Hill and call into the Inn to be refreshed. There have been definite sightings of a ghost, although the present publicans haven’t seen it. This destination food house has retained its olde worlde look with two lovely open fireplaces and plenty of nooks and crannies to have some privacy. Like all Chef & Brewer pubs we employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair. You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. Fresh fish dishes are the speciality here with several awards being won in the past. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines or real ales and other drinks are available at the bar. This is a popular venue with local regulars as well as people from further afield. We try to exceed customer expectations and everyone who comes is given a genuinely friendly welcome. Come a little bit out of your way to receive your special greeting from the super team.
