The White Horse is a traditional village pub located on the A350 road in Stourpaine near Blandford Forum. Local attractions include the Hod Hill Roman Fort and trail, with the River Stour nearby. Dating back to the early 18th Century this attractive pub was originally two buildings knocked into one. Today the inside is open plan with a horseshoe shaped bar, restaurant and relaxed area (with a pool table). There have been numerous improvements over the years but the pub has retained a traditional style with an inglenook fireplace, two wood burning stoves, exposed brickwork and dark wood. Some time ago, a guest at a fancy dress party left his military hat. Chris fastened it to the wall as a memento. Following this many former members of the armed forces, having seen the hat, have brought theirs in too. The wall is now home to more than 150 hats. Come and enjoy the lovely ambiance of the White Horse Inn soon.
