Ideally located on the seafront in Bournemouth you will find The Commodore. This well known local landmark started out as Crawford’s Tea Shop in the late 1920’s. It became Crawford’s Bar in the 1930’s and accommodated Americans during the war. In the 1950’s an extra floor was added, making it three storeys. Today it has a good customer base and is renowned as a safe, comfortable venue to enjoy a quality drink or food. As we hold Cask Marque accreditation, our real ales are served to the highest standard. The accommodation rooms all have sea views and the bar is a fantastic place to watch the sun set over Poole Bay. We also have facilities to hold small private functions in a separate room. Music and General Knowledge quizzes are held each week and these are very popular. If you are in the area and looking for a sociable venue to enjoy a quality drink with friends, a place to stay, a tasty meal or a place to hold a private party then call in soon and try out the Commodore.
