The White Hart is a beautifully presented fully refurbished Autumn 2013 building which dates back to the 14th Century. Originally built between the junction of 2 Roman roads, it was a Coaching / Posting House during the 17th Century. In approximately 1830 part of the old building was pulled down to make way for assembly / reading rooms which still exist. The White Hart insignia dates back to Charles II who inherited the badge from his mother.
