The Crown in the small village of Wychbold on the A38 is a 16th Century Coaching Inn. We re-open Spring 2012 with a contemporary, stylish and sumptuous look inside. Our ‘imagination garden’ has also been re-done with new children’s play area, gazebo’s and full table service outside for your relaxation. Our bedrooms have also also been re-decorated. There is a residential area across the road so we do get local regulars joining us but we also see many passers by and, of course, visitors staying in our comfortable accommodation. We welcome families and the outdoor play area keeps the children amused for hours during the warmer months. There are historical pictures displayed in the pub dating back to the 1920’s which are of particular interest to nearby residents. At one time there was a lido at the back of the pub and also an animal pet area, so they tell us! Leicester Tigers are the local football team but Derby County fans also tend to come in before and after watching their teams play which creates a good atmosphere. Food is served in the restaurant from the Two for One menu with wine or a choice of other drinks to complement your meal. We can cater for parties in an area of the pub and buffets can be provided.
