The Buccaneeris located five minutes walk from the centre of Eastbourne in the heart of theatreland. Built by the Duke of Devonshire as a theatre bar for staff from the Grand Hotel, The Buccaneer is hard to miss as it is in the style of the Pavilion at Brighton with green minarets and pretty hanging baskets. It is a traditional one roomed pub, with nothing pretentious about it. This is a relaxing venue where you can come for a chat with friends. Known for our real ales there are up to six well kept hand-pulled ales available, making us popular with ale connoisseurs. Theatre goers make us a regular venue before and after the show, and we also have passing trade from visitors to a good group of regular locals. Pub food is served every day from a varied main menu with the Sunday lunch being particularly popular. Come and taste a quality ale next time you are in the area.
