The Haywain used to be a Convent and dates back to the 19th Century. From the roadside it looks like one which would have been in it’s own private estate. There is an unusual feature of a Tulip Tree near the entrance and, being several hundred years old, it is listed. This Brewers Fayre is located only five minutes walk from Epsom High Street with it’s Ashley Shopping Centre and the theatre to take in a show. Epsom Race Course, the RAC Country Club and Chessington World of Adventure are all in the vicinity, as is the railway station just ten minutes away. Our walled beer garden overlooks open greenery which belongs to the estate. Inside is mainly open plan but there are nooks and crannies for a more intimate meal or drink. You can still see where the old shutters used to be on the wall of the original part of the building. The pub is decorated in cream with red feature walls and a splash of green. There are free standing tables and chairs plus sofas in the entrance and in the bar for relaxing with a drink and updating yourself on Sky Sports News. A full description of this restaurant will be shown here soon.
