Countess WearBeefeater is situated in the Lower Wear area, three miles from Exeter. It is named after the infamous Countess of Topsham who fought with the rulers of Exeter over loading rights and thus started the weir after which we are named. Following our latest refurbishment we offer a contemporary stylish environment to enjoy a revitalised Beefeater menu. As well as being a popular food house, we cater for many people who just come for a refreshing drink. There is booth seating available in the restaurant for more intimate dining and we are always busy as we offer a range of good quality food served from various menus throughout the day with a garden menu available during the Summer. If you need a venue for a celebration such as a birthday, christening or anniversary then we are happy to cater for the occasion in an area of the restaurant. As there is a crematorium close by we have experience in catering for many wakes. We are also near Exeter Golf and Country Club so are the ideal choice to round off a game of golf. We are very welcoming to families with a great choice of menu options for our younger visitors so you may want to call in on your way to the nearby Crealy adventure play area. There are full disabled facilities, a massive car park and rooms at a very special rate. Come and see us soon.
