Man of Gwent is situated on the outskirts of Newport about three miles from the City Centre on the A48, within easy access of Junction 24 of the M4. We are also close to the historic town of Caerleon with it’s Roman ruins. With 8 en-suite letting rooms we are a good stop off point for visitors and a great base for exploring the area. Refurbished in December 2007, we have a light modern look with fresh neutral colours on the walls. New furniture includes sofas and relaxed seating in the lounge area. You can dine throughout the pub, although there is an area which is mostly used for dining. We welcome passers by and families, having a children’s menu to offer them. Our main menu offers a seasonal variety of dishes from salads in the summer to hearty mains for the winter. A mock Tudor style building, with lots of hanging baskets and large tubs of flowers outside. Be sure to call in when you are next in the area and sample some good food and a quality drink in sociable company.
