The Red Lion is located in Handcross village, between Haywards Heath and Crawley, close to Nymans Garden National Trust site on the old London to Brighton Road. Originally built as a Post House in about 1819, we are now a high quality dining venue. You will find us a very welcoming pub with personal corners, real fires and candles on the table. The menu is designed by chefs who are passionate about food and it is cooked to a very high standard. Using fresh ingredients, the menu is perfect for all requirements be it a sociable meal with friends and colleagues, a special occasion evening dinner or a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch. To complement your meal there is a choice of delicious wines or a quality draught beer and other drinks available at the bar. Our mouth-watering Sunday roast, beautifully prepared by our chef, with all the trimmings, is also a winner – roaring log fires, Sunday newspapers… What better way to spend time with family or friends? Just stop by for a pint of ale, read the papers and chill out or book a table and enjoy simple food prepared with care. See you soon.
