Situated in the historic town of Hitchin, The Red Hart is one of the oldest buildings, formerly a coaching inn dating back to 1530 so is a traditional pub. It has two rooms and a very nice outside courtyard with streetlamps this area is two to three times larger than the inside of the pub and has bench seating. Because it is well lit and has a covered area with heaters, you can enjoy your drink outside until late. We appeal to a very mixed clientele, changing what we offer throughout the day. With our focus on food during the day we see many tourists and older people at this time. Our food is wholesome and excellent value with a good roast available on Sundays. In the evening we become much busier, drawing in a younger crowd who enjoy our overall sociable atmosphere. Come and join us today at what is a very friendly pub.
