The Crofters was built in 1999 and stands on the dual carriageway of the busy Calder Road three miles north of Edinburgh, close to the college and university. This John Barras pub has a public bar which houses the pool tables and a big screen for watching all things sporty, from racing to football. There is a separate lounge which is where most food is eaten. Children are welcome when dining until a selected time, under supervision. The clientele are predominantly regulars and students. Meals are chosen from a main menu and specials board and can be eaten anywhere in the pub or in the outdoor seating area during the summer. We can take bookings for dining in the evening to avoid disappointment. At weekends we hold lively evenings of disco and a quiz night along with a monthly social club which usually has a live act of some sort. All entertainment is very well attended. This family friendly venue is a lovely pub which, once visited, you will want to return to. Come along soon and maybe have a two for one meal, a quality discounted drink with friends or take part in the quiz. Leslie and her helpful team look forward to seeing you soon.
