Oak Treeis a pub which stands out from the rest, offering an incredible atmosphere where food and drink can be enjoyed. The building is an old one, which is rumoured to have a ghost called Timothy. This relates to the Oak Tree which stands opposite, where it is said Timothy was hung but later found to be innocent. He therefore wanders the pub at night. Whether you like to have a drink alone, with friends or surprise the family with a meal out, we have it all here. The pub has a single room which is zoned to create a place for the sports enthusiasts and an area for customers to relax in more peaceful surroundings. Through the main doors to the right is a raised area and the sports zone has pool, darts and a big screen. Our bar is well stocked with all types of drinks and food can be ordered here all day, meals chosen from a varied main menu. The Oak Tree never burns a hole in your pocket with both John Barras food and drinks promotions every week. One of our major strengths is the dedicated long serving staff, one of whom has worked here for 12 to 13 years. Our regulars are a friendly bunch who will always give newcomers a warm welcome. The customers during the day mainly come from the nearby business park but in the evening a mixed age group of 18 to 85 year olds join us for a great night out. If you are looking to hold a special event don’t forget our function room. It is self contained with a separate bar and toilet. Suitable for up to 50 people it’s a great place for all occasions. If you are looking a change of venue come along to the Oak Tree, a friendly, warm welcoming pub.
