The Elgin is just a stone’s throw away from the famous Portobello Road Market in London’s Notting Hill. The side bar is 150 years old and still retains much of its original character and features with mirrors, ceramics, etc. Back in the 1850s it was a church and the only building in the area. Hard to imagine now. In the 1890s it was altered to how it is today being famous as a music venue in the 1960s. Nowadays we are thought of as one of the best pubs in the area. We attract a very mixed crowd, lots of regulars during the week and a younger clientele in the evening. We are popular for food at lunchtimes with business people and passers by coming for their break here to relax in the great, friendly atmosphere. Why not come and try out this friendly pub for yourself soon?
