The Grasshopper, built in 1908, is located in Parkstone, half way between Poole and Bournemouth. Attracting passers by on their travels, business people taking a spot of lunch with us from the Civic Centre and hospital nearby, we are also very popular with the local regulars from the bordering fairly affluent area of Sandbanks. Inside has really high ceilings and is full of windows making for a very light and airy atmosphere. It is very contemporary in design with great touches such as our ‘onion’ chairs which are a real wow factor when people walk in. The decor is kept light with cream, greens and browns with attractive, wicker furniture. We also have wooden beams, exposed brick work and old photos which make an interesting talking point. On the bar side there are canvases of the old town and Poole so you can see what the places looked like way back. The restaurant has a different theme with an Indian influence. Outside we have a gravelled area to the front with seating. Families are welcome to dine with us so why not come and try our Sunday roast. You will be made very welcome.
