The Grapes is located in Eccleston Park / Portico, a wealthy residential area of Prescot. It was changed to a Fayre & Square pub in Summer 2010. The pub is a mock Tudor black and white building which dates back to the 1880’s when it was a Coaching House. Inside is all wood-panelled with old fireplaces and other olde worlde features. In the old days prisoners were brought here from court for their last meal prior to being hanged. The horses would be taken into what is now the bar area. Today we welcome a good mix of regulars from the local community and see plenty of passing custom. Our varied selection of wholesome dishes are available every day from the main menu. To complement your meal we offer a range of wines and a number of quality beers are at the bar. There is quite a family atmosphere where dining here is rather like sitting at the dinner table at home but with staff and guests around you. Our surroundings are very relaxed and friendly with staff who are fantastic, each with their own characteristics, contributing to this genuinely super venue. Bring the family for a tasty meal soon and you are sure to have a good time.
