The Wellington is the only pub in the picturesque Northumberland village of Riding Mill with the historic market town of Hexham, Hadrian’s Wall and the Angel of the North being close by. The building dates back to the 16th Century when it was known as an old witches meeting place. Today this is a very homely, welcoming venue with two open fires lit for winter warmth, secluded areas for private dining with candles lit on the tables. Its village location means that there is a strong local clientele who enjoy their usual pint with us as well as people who dine here regularly from as far away as Sunderland and beyond. There is a very good range of in-house, freshly prepared dishes on the menu along with tempting specials advertised on the blackboards around the pub. During the summer months you can dine al fresco in the garden. Make sure you visit us soon and meet the Wellington’s friendly staff.
