The 400 year old Fox & Hounds offers quality service in a traditional atmosphere. This destination pub has an open fire, heavy oak beams and is extremely busy, with a traditional bar and two dining rooms, one at each end of the pub. As well as this there is the Library room which has the atmosphere and decor of a gentlemen’s club, with leather wing chairs, sofas and books. It is the ideal area to relax and enjoy a glass of our fine cognac or a malt whisky and, as we are listed in both the Good Pub Guide and CAMRA Good Beer Guide, you can be sure of an excellent pint of cask ale. A good marker of the pub’s popularity is our regular clientele, many of whom come from a wide radius including London, Milton Keynes and Cambridge. We have a commitment to diners to serve all covers, but it is recommended that you arrive early to ensure minimum delay as we do not operate a table booking system. Quality of food is important to us and our menus are flexible with the majority of food prepared from fresh ingredients and cooked to order. As well as our main menu we have blackboards which show individual regularly changing dishes. We also have our unique steaks which are chosen by and cooked for you. You will be given a warm, traditional welcome when visiting us. Coming to the Fox & Hounds is a special experience and one that should not be missed.
