The Swan Inn, located in Stone, is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1771 when it was a warehouse to service the building of the Trent & Mersey Canal. It was converted into a pub in 1851. Totally renovated in 1999 and now a Freehouse with connections to John Joule & Sons (former Stone brewery), we serve our own “Joules” ales brewed from original Stones recipes with guest real ales available at all times. The Swan is a lively traditional pub for the over 18’s, with real fires in the winters and a relaxing beer garden for the warmer months. Geoff the publican arranges and hosts an annual beer festival in the second week of July each year. Live music is also a very important part of our attraction, with original and cover bands playing four times a week. We are also keen to support new local up-coming bands. If you are in the area be sure to call in and try some special real ale and enjoy good live entertainment.
