Opening its doors in December 2011, theTall Chimneysituated at The Pipeworks in Swadlincote is an aptly named Hungry Horse pub and restaurant given the number of chimneys which could be viewed in the area in times gone by from the collieries, brickworks and potteries which had become established. Originally a Wraggs and Woodward Pipeworks, founded in 1790, this former distinctive Hepworth’s factory building underwent a £2.5 million conversion, now being part of the new Hepworth Retail Park. Every Hungry Horse pub is a friendly local that tries to impress everyone with its quality family food offer, sense of fun and affordable prices – we are no different! With the retail park in our vicinity we attract shoppers and workers nipping in for a spot of lunch or a coffee and chat. Our Sky Sports facility is welcomed by our clientele to view and there is the chance to enjoy a game of pool. We are also not too far from the town centre. Families are very welcome to this large Hungry Horse which has a 50 seater restaurant. Inside is of contemporary design with great features such as booth seating with TV screens in them. Serving good pub food from our extensive Hungry Horse menu, there is something to suit all including a great choice for the kids. There are also good facilities for the disabled. Make Tall Chimneys the place you stop for a bite to eat next time you are in the area.
