The Britannia Inn, which was refurbished 2014, is situated in the picturesque village of Llanmadoc on the north western coast of the Gower Peninsula – Britain’s first designated “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”. The pub is probably the best preserved 17th Century Inn in the area and boasts its original fireplace and bread oven. It has lounge beams taken from ships which were led by beacons and lanterns ashore by wreckers posing as harbour men for their valuable cargo. Outside there are good sized beer gardens to the front and rear along with an acre of land beyond. During the warmer months we hold regular barbecues which are light hearted and great fun. The gardens offer awe inspiring views over the Loughor Estuary. Catering for families with children of all ages there is an enclosed play area with games and a menagerie of small creatures such as rabbits, ducks, budgies and canaries to help keep the youngsters amused.
