The Globe Inn is a traditional Devonshire village pub backing onto the Grand Western Canal in the heart of Sampford Peverell, five miles from Tiverton. We re-opened in Autumn 2009 following a full refurbishment. The Canal, which dates back to 1814, was declared a Country Park in 1971 and a Local Nature Reserve in 2005. It is a popular spot for recreation, wildlife and historic interest and provides a wonderful setting to enjoy walking, cycling, boating and fishing. Being a five minute drive from Junction 27 of the M5 and having the added advantage of a railway station a short walk away, the Globe is a venue to be found and cherished. Outside there is a sheltered courtyard, an enclosed beer garden and an area for our younger visitors to play. Al fresco dining is very popular here during the summer months. Food is served from an extensive menu from light snacks to a la carte with our carvery being very popular. There is a wide range of wines to complement your meal or a real ale if preferred. Come and try out this attractive Inn soon and, if you like what you find you could stay over in the comfortable accommodation available. We can also host weddings, parties and business meetings so we are, indeed, able to cater for all. See you soon.
