In the semi rural village of Houghton Green on the outskirts of Warrington you will find The Plough. This is a large pub which was built in 1774 and has low ceilings, exposed beams and many of the other traditional features of a pub of this period. We re-opened following a refurbishment & re-branding to Flaming Grill concept in Summer 2011. Sample our new menu with great value meals in lovely surroundings. Outside there are attractive seating and decking areas with a beer garden and plenty of room to enjoy the warm summer days. Featured in ‘Pub Walks of Cheshire’ and the Good Beer Guide’, it attracts a mixture of locals and visitors of all ages ranging from 18 to 92. Food is very popular here, especially during the week when the meal offers are available. If you are looking for a new pub to try, come and see us soon. There is sure to be something to suit you in this friendly village pub.
