The Ring O’ Bells is located on the one street in the delightful village of Daresbury. With a total of only about twenty houses in the village there is the pub, a post box, a telephone box, a lawn mower shop and a church. Get the picture? Our claim to fame is that this is the birthplace of Lewis Carroll who wrote ‘Alice in Wonderland’. This pretty, destination food house has a listed old stone horse stop and trough to the front, barrels of flowers, hanging and window baskets. Historically this used to be the old Courthouse and inside there is the Sessions Room which was renovated in 1999. Today the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy having 140 covers, open fires and candles on the tables. The food is served from a selection of menus which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines or real ales and other drinks are available at the bar. We have been accredited for our quality real ales with the Cask Marque Award and voted ‘CAMRA Halton Real Ale Pub of the Year 2007’. Outside there is a large terraced garden beyond the car park which seats a further 130 people during the summer months. Morris dancers perform here in this picturesque setting. Your first visit here is guaranteed to be a memorable occasion. Come soon and try something rather special.
