The Barley Mow is an attractive pub located in Colehill, near Wimborne. This large olde worlde pub dates back to 1680 and has original oak beams and supports along with two real fires. One of these is in the bar and the other in the L shaped restaurant.
Today there is a contemporary feel about this venue where it is understood that Evelyn Waugh wrote his first novel in one of the former lodging rooms above the pub. Outside there is a seating area to the back of the pub in the large garden and a small patio at the front.
Homemade traditional English fayre food, all freshly prepared & cooked to order, served from our own main menu, lighter options menu, children’s menu & regular changing specials menu. Al fresco dining is very popular during the summer months.
Wherever possible we source our ingredients locally including using local farms from within the village. Come and join us for a meal or a quality drink next time you are in the area.
