If your idea of an ideal pub is good, freshly cooked food, fine wines, real ales and a welcoming atmosphere, then you’ve found it at The Thorn Tree Inn. This venue is conveniently located at Woodlinkin in Derbyshire, on the A610 – the main road between Ambergate and Nottingham. Recently renovated in Summer 2010, this pub has a contemporary yet sophisticated and traditional feel, equally welcoming to families, groups and couples. The reclaimed wood and stone flooring, open fires and subtle lighting all combine to give a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. We try and cater for all tastes on our menu and also provide regular offers. All our fish is from sustainable sources, our meat is from a good local supplier and we only ever serve free range chicken because happy chickens taste so much better. Outside, the terrace and landscaped garden with stunning views make this the perfect place to relax when the weather permits. On the occasion when we have glorious sunshine, there’s no nicer place to be with a chilled glass of wine or beer. Whilst you relax our younger visitors can wear themselves out in the children’s play area. Local attractions include: The Midland Railway Centre at Butterley, Shipley Country Park in Ilkeston, Chatsworth House in Bakewell, the Peak District National Park and Alton Towers theme park. So, whether you want to enjoy a quiet drink, catch up with friends, or dine with us, we believe this is the place. A traditional pub is all about relaxing, soaking up the atmosphere, and creating happy memories – everyone is welcome at the Thorn Tree Inn.
