The Bulls Head in Goring by Sea, formerly known as The Bull, is a very traditional looking pub which dates back to the 1600’s. The village location is between Goring and Worthing just a three minute walk from the beach and five minutes to the railway station. Historically, as well as being used as a former Coaching House, it used to be the Goring Morgue with the cellar being the main mortuary for the town. We are haunted by three or four ghosts. These days, this is a comfortable, welcoming venue. This included being repainted and the addition of new fixtures and fittings. We have retained original features such as beams and a huge fireplace which takes up the main part of the bar area and a smaller fireplace. There are stone floors around the bar, and original stable walling from when the restaurant used to be the bar. In Goring there is also a picturesque traditional town hall. Morris dancers meet every Sunday during the summer on the green next to the cricket club, close to the pub. We employ high quality Chefs who have superb kitchen facilities. The food can be chosen from a main menu or unique Specials from the chalk boards which allow our Chefs to show their flair. You will be served meals which have been prepared from the freshest of ingredients and cooked to order. To complement your meal there is an extensive choice of quality wines or real ales and other drinks are available at the bar. Our enclosed beer garden is safe for children and a great place to relax and enjoy long summer days. Behind us is Goring Cricket Club who play twice weekly. We are a proper olde worlde village pub, with a friendly, traditional welcome. Come and see us soon.
